Food clay supplement

During changes in diet, stress (transport, moving, arrival of a new animal) or simply periods of digestive sensitivity, the cat's intestinal system can be weakened.
Our Food Clay, in the form of a fine powder to mix with food, offers natural and gentle support to help maintain good digestive balance and promote gastrointestinal comfort.
Thanks to its absorbent and soothing properties, it helps regulate transit, support the intestinal flora and absorb unwanted gases or substances present in the digestive tract.
It can be used for prevention, during sensitive periods (change in diet, stress, convalescence), or as a support, in cases of difficult digestion, loose stools or temporary loss of state.
Used in a short course or over several weeks, Food Clay helps preserve the overall digestive comfort of the cat, while respecting the natural balance of its body.

Edible clay can be used in two ways, depending on habits and ease of administration:

• Mixed with the ration, ideally with a little water to promote good homogenization.
• Diluted in water, then administered using a syringe if necessary.

For optimal effectiveness, be sure to space out the clay intake by at least 2 hours from any other complementary food or medication. Clay can in fact absorb certain substances and limit their assimilation.

Dosage

Administer 3 g per 10 kg of body weight per day.

As one-off support
Clay can be used over a few days in the event of mild digestive disorders: softer stools, minor bloating or temporary discomfort.
It helps absorb gases and toxins, while promoting a natural return to intestinal balance.
Its use is also recommended after a change in diet, stress (transport, moving, absence of the owner), or any event likely to disrupt digestion.

In anticipation of a risky period
A 2 to 3 week treatment can be implemented before or during a sensitive period, for example during seasonal changes, adaptation to a new diet, or in cats with fragile transit.

As regular support
For cats with sensitive digestion or prone to stress, a preventive treatment of one week each month can be beneficial.

Additional information: In case of very liquid stools, the daily dose may be slightly increased temporarily, in agreement with your veterinarian.
The treatment can be interrupted as soon as the stools return to normal consistency.

Illite clay

Montmorillonite clay
