Description
When the horn becomes dry, brittle or prone to cracking, our Dry Hoof Ointment provides nourishing and protective care, designed to restore the suppleness, elasticity and natural shine of the hoof.
Applied regularly to the coronal rim, the wall and the sole, it deeply nourishes the horn, strengthens its structure and improves its resistance to dryness, friction and climatic variations.
Its creamy texture forms a durable protective film, ideal for preserving the quality of the hoof between two trims or on dry and abrasive soils. Easy to integrate into the care routine, it can be used both for regular maintenance and for one-off treatments depending on the horse's needs.
A complete treatment, designed to protect, nourish and enhance the horn on a daily basis.
This ointment is available in two colors: natural or black. The black version contains, in addition, activated vegetable charcoal, known for its absorbent properties and its naturally intense color.
Directions for use
1. Clean the hoof carefully to remove all dirt, dust or traces of mud that could affect the proper adhesion of the treatment.
2. Using a brush, apply the ointment to the outer wall of the hoof as well as to the sole, as needed.
3. Pay particular attention to the periople, a key area for preserving hydration and flexibility of the horn.
Application frequency
In case of marked need
Apply the treatment daily, or several times a week, depending on the condition of the horn and the usual frequency of your care. This regularity helps restore hydration and flexibility to the foot more quickly.
In regular maintenance
One application every two to three days is enough to preserve the quality of the horn, maintain its elasticity and prevent drying.
Complementary care routine
For a complete action, this treatment can be combined with our Hoof sanitizing clay, alternately or in addition depending on the condition of the foot and environmental conditions (humidity, soil, season).
This synergy helps support the overall balance of the foot while strengthening the resistance and health of the horn over the long term.
Detailed composition
Grape seed vegetable oil
Rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, this light oil supports the natural hydration of the hoof and promotes its suppleness. Its fluid texture penetrates easily, ensuring deep nutrition while not forming an occlusive film on the surface of the hoof.
Macadamia vegetable oil
Appreciated for its richness in palmitoleic acid, it strengthens the protective barrier of the horn. It provides comfort and elasticity, helping to limit drying out and helps preserve the elasticity and resistance of the hoof in the face of climatic variations.
Shea butter
Recognized for its restorative and protective properties, it intensely nourishes dry or weakened areas. It helps maintain a supple and resistant horn, while protecting the hoof from external aggressions (humidity, cold, dust).
Candelilla wax
This vegetable wax provides consistency to the ointment and forms a flexible, non-occlusive protective film. It improves the hold of the product on the hoof, even in humid or dusty conditions.
Basil essential oil
Toning and revitalizing, it supports the vitality of the horn and reinforces the nourishing action of the treatment.
Lemon essential oil
Sanitizing, it helps purify the surface of the horn and prevent imbalances linked to humidity.
Palmarosa essential oil
Rich in geraniol, it helps maintain a healthy environment around the foot. Its moisturizing and protective properties complement the action of vegetable oils for complete hoof care.
